Architect Raul Lino (1879-1974) has left a fundamental body of work towards the understanding of the Portuguese way of living and inhabiting. The film approaches that very legacy through texts which the architect published in his lifetime, and which situate the problematic aspects of the “Casa” in a context much more ample than that of its mere edification.
Designed for specific people, and consequently mirroring their personalities, tastes and memories, the Casas are a meeting place between Man, Art and Nature. Hence the tremendous responsibility that comes with Architecture: on behalf of those who engage in it as well as those who use it.
