Staying Vertical

Léo is searching for a wolf in the upland landscapes of the Causses of Lozére, when he meets a shepherdess, Marie. Some months later, she gives birth to their child. Suffering from post-natal depression, and with no faith in Léo, who comes and goes without warning, Marie abandons both of them. Léo finds himself alone, with a baby to care for. It’s not easy, but deep down, he loves it. During that period of time, he doesn’t work too much, and drowns, step by step, in his own misery. It is the social breakdown that takes Léo to the upland landscapes of the Causses of Lózere, towards the wolf.
