Actor, Theatre Director

João Perry begins his theatre activity in 1953, with 12 years, in Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, in Companhia Rey Colaço-Robles Monteiro, company to which he has returned several times. Perry then attends the Actors Formation Course, in USA, in La Mamma Experimental Theater Company, Nova York; and in Portugal the courses by Eva Winkler and Geoffrey Reeves, in Fundação Gulbenkian. Perry begins his journey as a theatre director in 1971, in New York. He has directed comedy, working in several Portuguese theatres, cinema and television. João Perry directed several shows, namely Zerlina by Hermann Broch and A Disputa by Marivaux. 


Marcello Urgeghe will be present in LEFFEST, Friday the 23rd, at 19:30, in Cinema Medeia Monumental, to present the film A Portuguese Farewell.
