Stéphanie Argerich is the daughter of Martha Argerich and Stephan Kovacevich. Born in Bern in 1975, she holds the Swiss, Argentinian and Belgian citizenship. First she studied Russian in Moscow and then Photography at the Parson School of Design in New York. In Paris she made some additional training in video technique and directed her first medium length films. Bloody Daughter is her first feature length documentary. In 2003 the film was awarded with the golden FIPA (International Festival of Audiovisuals Programme) in the category Musique et spectacles.
