ISABELLE HUPPERT distinguished with the Best Actress Award at the Locarno Film Festival

Back
Isabelle Huppert, to whom the Lisbon & Sintra Film Festival'17 will dedicate a film retrospective and a photographic exhibition, was distinguished with the Best Actress award at the Locarno Film Festival, for her role in Serge Bozon's Mrs. Hyde.

After Tip Top (2013), Huppert returns to Bozon's cinema with yet another defiant performance, as she embodies a very peculiar 'transformation', from a shy physics teacher to Hyde's title 'persona', discovering in herself strange and fulminant powers after an incident at her laboratory.

In a year of multiple distinctions, both in cinema (for her role in Paul Verhoeven's Elle) and in the theatre (she was awarded an Honorary Molière), Isabelle Huppert continues to embrace risk in an unmatched artistic trajectory that cuts across all modern cinema.
