MÓNICA CALLE: body compulsion— REHEARSAL FOR A CARTOGRAPHY

Back
LEFFEST - Lisbon & Sintra Film Festival'17 presents An Essay for a Cartography, a play by Mónica Calle, at Olga Cadaval Cultural Center on 17 and 18 November.

An Essay for a Cartography is an emotional and compulsive experience that takes the body to the edge of its sublimity. This performance brings together a group of actresses, from 22 to 50, who try to perform classical dance movements trying to reproduce, repetitively and in three moments, the difficult Ravel’s Bolero.

The only possible words in this show are those of maestros that accompany this extraordinary work of art. Written, staged and performed by one of the most interesting and irreverent artists of the contemporary scene.

An Essay for a cartography can now be seen at the Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval after being shown at the National Theater.
