National Premiere of MAGNETICK PATHWAYS, by Edgar Pêra inspired in a work by Branquinho da Fonseca

"The ideia is to create a totally artificial universe, in the realm of imagination in which there is no realistic limits", says the director. Thus, he has resorted to studio films "with projections to establish this internal theatre in the character's mind". For the director, Magnetic Pathways portrays "someone who realises money isn't everything in the wedding day of his daughter with a rich older man, in a night full of doubts, hesitations and consignations, that will bring up his conscience and give him a totally different perception of the world".
"Beyond telling stories, what I like doing is films, and films are much more than telling stories. They're movements of colours, characters, sets, all in service of a story based on a tale by Branquinho da Fonseca".

"The most important [layer] is the poetic and cinema's own art, at the service of a very personal story, that can be generalised", he stated.
