Paul Schrader's work highlighted in LEFFEST'18

The director Paul Schrader started his journey as a critic and screenwriter (Taxi Driver, by Martin Scorcese, 1976) and established himself as a bold director, with a series original films that reject the humanistic notions of the American Cinema Hero and are centred in lonely figures in constant conflict, in a work that reflects a profound study of identity and individual representation. Schrader has published some of the greatest cinema essays of the last decades.
