Back
Along with the photographic exhibit “In broad daylight, even the sounds shine” Wim Wenders scouting in Portugal, the Water Museum is organizing two tours through the underground Loreto gallery, one of the five galleries of the Águas Livres aqueduct, which assured the water supply to Lisbon’s fountains from the mid 18th century until late in the 19th century.
The tours will take place on November 12th and 13th, at 7 PM. The tour begins at the registry office of the Mãe d’Água das Amoreiras Reservoir, allowing the visitors to see Wim Wenders’ exhibit and, after a kilometer-long underground path, under the Largo do Rato and Rua da Escola Politécnica, they reach the Patriarcal Reservoir, under the lake at the Príncipe Real garden, where they can watch some music videos of Madredeus, made for Wim Wenders’ film Lisbon Story, in 1994.
Location: Water Museum – Mãe d’Água das Amoreiras Reservoir, Praça das Amoreiras, 10
Ticket prices: 8 euros
