One of the Festival main aims has always been to find and exhibit the true richness of the new European cinema, a cinema that blends the several existing European cultural identities, linking these with the many incentives acquired from distant horizons. A ravenous cinema that is always able to homogenously connect both its originality and artistic creativity with the complexity of reality.

This section privileges works from a wide range of less internationally visible European territories and shows films which otherwise would not reach the general public. With this mission in mind, the Official Selection Committee will select young European filmmakers who have not been given the rightful recognition within the international cinematographic panorama.
