Alain Planès, l’infini turbulent

A film by Solrey

Back
A demanding and polyvalent virtuoso performer of both classic and contemporary music, Alain Planès draws the strength and direction of his creativity from his relationship with the plastic arts and the written word. Planès, who has always been wary of the media, here consents to reveal his sources of inspiration and musical choices. Charting all of his journey, including his beginnings as a child at the piano, his years studying at the conservatory in Paris and in the United States, and the beginning of his career in the seventies, Solrey’s documentary proposes an immersion into the artist’s universe, in a free and intimate portrait that brings to fore his most important encounters and influences.
