Forever Amber

In seventeenth-century England, Amber aims to raise herself from country girl to nobility, and succeeds, but loses her true love in the process. As a baby she was left at the farmer’s door by a man who is murdered while running away. Years later, she is promised to a farmer although she is in love with Bruce, a knight who leaves her behind with a baby. Amber has many lovers but dreams with Bruce’s return.
