Little Italian Girls

A film by Letizia Lamartire

Back
In 1943 the fascist regime bans production and sale of toys. Toy factories will be reconverted in war industries. This is the official story. The legend begins when Italia a strongly fascist and polemic little girl, takes the decision to rebel against the edict, during a school play, raising the roof. Fearing serious consequences, her mother hauls Italia straight before the Minister Rizzi who issued the law, to apologize profusely. That day was July the 25th and the story of Italia and her mother will be interwoven with the Great History and the end of fascism.
