Political drama directed by Bertolucci with Ugo Tognazzi as a cheese factory owner whose son is kidnapped by terrorists with political motivations. As the film progresses, he has two problems: paying the ransom the terrorists demand and trying to save his factory which might face bankruptcy. And the police suspect the son to be in collusion with the criminals. What's a businessman like him to do?

He attended Rome University and became famous as a poet. His films include The Conformist, Last Tango in Paris, 1900, The Last Emperor, The Sheltering Sky, Stealing Beauty and The Dreamers.
