The film focuses on the life in the Spinalonga leper colony, on an island near the coast of Creta, where many have been discarded since 1904, when the colony was founded. We focus on Raimondakis’ life, exploring through him possibilities of love, community and death through the heavy lens of disease, which allows us to experience the endurance of human values in this cinematic study.

Later, in 1963, Pollet directer another short film, Méditerranée, an experimental film that documents the origins of a civilization in a voyage through the waters and shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
