In an atmosphere of great happiness, Claudio and Carmela celebrate their daughter's 18th birthday, surrounded by family and friends, including their youngest daughter, 15-year-old Chiara. However, the next day, the father disappears, profoundly altering the family’s stability. Dissatisfied with the story told to her, Chiara begins her investigation, but as she gets closer to the truth, she is forced to decide the future she wants for herself.

Jonas Carpignano was born in 1984 and spent his childhood between Rome and New York, studying at Wesleyan University. His films received distinctions at various festivals, including Cannes and Venice, such as A Chjàna (2011), A Ciambra (2014) and Mediterranea (2015). Carpignano was part of the Sundance Festival's directing and writing laboratory, having won the Global Filmmaking Sundance/Mahindra award.
