Brother’s Keeper

A film by Ferit Karahan

Back
In a boarding school in the mountains of Anatolia, Turkish teachers teach Kurdish students from the surrounding area according to very strict rules and strict monitoring. One day, Memo, a twelve-year-old boy, asks his friend, Yusuf, to sleep in his bed. However, he fears possible negative comments and refuses. The next morning, Memo finds himself ill and unable to attend classes. As the boy's condition worsens, a snowstorm ravages the place and Yusuf is unable to speak unless asked. It is then that the events of the night before are gradually revealed.
