Filmed in 1969, when Yolanda DuLuart was studying cinema at the University of California, this is a documentary about the activist and Philosophy professor Angela Davis, an important name linked to the American Communist Party, the Black Panther, and a women’s rights activist against racial discrimination. Filmed by DuLuart and some colleagues, also UCLA students, this work follows the private dimension and political career of Angela Davis, and would become a revolutionary manifesto and an appeal for her release from prison.
