In the remote forests of Siberia, far from civilization, two self-sufficient families live on opposing sides of the Yenissei river: the Braguine on one side, the Kiline on the other. While the water marks their separation, so does a feud that has cut off all kinds of communication between the two. However, a new wild community takes shape on a small island in the middle of the river, as the children find a way to play out their freedom together. In Cogitore´s critically acclaimed documentary, tensions of a familial conflict turn into a tale of fear, floating above buried questions surrounding the weight of the past in the shaping of a new future.
