Parisian Agathe Bonitzer, the daughter of Pascal Bonitzer, screenwriter and director, and Sophie Fillières, director, was born into the world of film. As a child she acted in several films, such as Trois vies et une seule mort (1996), by Raoul Ruiz, among others. At sixteen, she enrolls in Dramatic Arts at the Erik Satie Conservatory. Along with her Modern Literature studies, Agathe Bonitzer worked extensively with her father, especially in Je pense à vous and Le Grand Alibi. Through her family, she had the opportunity of working with some of the greatest names of French cinema, such as Pierre Arditi, Lambert Wilson and Valeria Bruni Tedeschi. Her professionalism and freshness were coveted by several directors, and she subsequently worked with Christophe Honoré in La Belle Personne, where she stars opposite Louis Garrel. Always close to her family, Agathe Bonitzer also starred in a film directed by her mother, Un Chat un Chat, alongside Chiara Mastroianni. The actress plays roles where she comes across as a troubled, sweet and mysterious young woman. She followed this direction in films such as Bus Palladium, which allowed her to reach a broader audience.  In 2012, she resumed her collaboration with her father in Cherchez Hortense and, more recently, in Tout De Suite Maintenant (2016), as part of an ambitious high-finance board, where, the actress believes, she plays a more professionally and socially mature part.
