Cécile Tanner is a Swiss actress, the daughter of director Alain Tanner. She played one of her first roles in the Jean-Luc Godard film Sauve qui peut (1980), and collaborated with Krzysztof Kieslowski in Three Colours: Red (1994). She is also a frequent presence in her father’s films, having participated in The Woman From Rose Hill (1989), The Man Who Lost His Shadow (1991), Fourbi (1996), Requiem (1998) and Jonas et Lila, à demain (1999).
