Eduarda Abbondanza

Eduarda Abbondanza was born in Lisbon in 1962, and, while living between Milan and Lisbon, she graduated in Fashion Design from CITEM, before working as an intern with Ana Salazar and Rafaella Curriel. After founding her brand with Mário Matos Ribeiro, Abbondanza/Matos Ribeiro, they both created the first edition of ModaLisboa in 1991, following an invitation made by the Tourism Department of the Municipality of Lisbon. Five years later, their project transformed from a simple fashion week to the wider platform that is ModaLisboa Association today, founded on the objective of supporting, promoting and stimulating artists. Abbondanza is also a design consultant, and continues to serve as President of ModaLisboa Association.
