Haitham Omari has been a cameraman for much of his professional life. He has worked for the Al Arabiya television network. His premiered as an actor in Bethlehem (2012), the film chosen to represent Israel in the Best Foreign Language Film category of the 2013 Academy Awards. He starred in the film Ha'har (2015), that premiered at the Venice Film Festival. Omari has also starred in Sand Storm, his latest project, again the Israeli entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards.
