Director and Producer

Born in Lisbon, on February 26, 1987, Henrique Pina is a Portuguese director and producer. 


In 2005, he began his studies in Cinema, at the University of Roehampton, in London, completing his degree in 2008. It was in that same year that he debuted as a director and producer, covering a wide range from fiction to documentary, and from short films to advertising.


In 2014, he directed and produced the award-winning short film O Mundo Cai aos Bocados, starring Albano Jerónimo and Joana Solnado. He followed this with A História do Campeão (2014) and Traça: Mar Deserto (2017). Also in 2017, he directed Aires Mateus: Matéria em Avesso, a documentary shown at 12 film festivals and produced by Moonway Films, a production company founded by him. He returned to short films with Sete Dias de Inverno (2020), followed by the feature film Body Buildings (2021), winner of the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Dance Camera West Film Festival, in Los Angeles. In Body Buildings - which explores the union between architecture, dance and cinema - six choreographies are conceived for six architectural works located in Portugal, in a true fusion of identities and concepts. His latest documentary, Autopsia: Percurso de uma Criação (2021) is a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Olga Roriz company.
