Jean-Philippe Puymartin is a French actor and voice actor. Puymartin took part in dozens of plays at the Théâtre-Français in Paris from 1981 to 1994 and stepped into the world of cinema through a small role in Alain Resnais’s film Mon oncle d'Amérique (1980). Throughout the years, Puymartin acted in several television series and films directed by renowned filmmakers such as Julien Leclercq and Mathieu Kassovitz, and eventually Paul Vecchiali, with whom he established a frequent collaboration upon shooting Retour à Mayerling (2011). He lends his voice to the french versions of Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise’s films as well as to the animated characters of Timon, from The Lion King, and Woody, from Toy Story.
