José Bragança de Miranda is an Associate Professor at NOVA University of Lisbon in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, having earned his PhD in Communication Sciences from that same university. With an extensive research work dedicated to contemporary culture topics, Bragança de Miranda has written and published several books including Analítica da Actualidade (1994), Política e Modernidade (1997), Teoria da Cultura (2002) and Envios: Uma Experimentação Filosófica na Internet (2008).
