Marta Chaves, born in Lisbon, is a poet and a clinical psychologist. She owns a psychology and psychotherapy practice. She has published four books of poetry, all of which sold out, with special mention to Onde não estou, tu não existes and Pensa que deixou de pensar nela. She also published poems in magazines such as Criatura, Telhados de Vidro and Cão Celeste. Freedom and empathy are two of the most important concepts in her life, which happen to intersect with the academic paths that most influenced her: psychology and philosophy.
