Philippe Lançon is a French writer and journalist, known for his work at the daily public opinion newspaper Libération. A columnist and a literary critic, Lançon developed a particular passion for Latin-American literature. For a long time he was the author of the Aprés Coup column, acclaimed in the television milieu. He is also a columnist at the weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo. In 2004 he wrote and published a novel under the pseudonym of Gabriel Lindero, Je Ne Sais Pas Écrire et Je Suis un Innocent. He is a professor of Latin-American Culture and Literature, having been invited, occasionally, to speaker at lectures organized by Princeton University. In 2011 he was the winner of the Hennessy Award of Literary Journalism for the “extraordinary quality of his articles”, and in 2013 he was considered journalist of the year, receiving the Jean-Luc Lagardère Award.
