Actor, director and playwright, Tiago Rodrigues is considered one of the most important Portuguese creators of his generation. Artistic director of Mundo Perfeito, a theater company that he founded in 2003 and in which he created more than 30 plays between the year of its origin and 2014. In that same year, Rodrigues was also given the position of artistic director of the National Theater D. Maria II. As a playwright, he also wrote for other theatre and dance artists in addition to his own creations. He worked as an actor in the mini-series Noite Sangrenta and, amongst the numerous theatre plays that he wrote and directed, those that stand out include Coro dos amantes (2014), Tristeza e alegria na vida das girafas (2011) and Três dedos abaixo do joelho (2014), all presented at some of the most important theatres and festivals in Europe, South America and the Middle East. In 2019, he was awarded the Pessoa Prize.
