Virginie Efira is a French-Belgian actress born in Brussels in 1977. Having started her career in television, her first leading role in cinema was in the French comedy It Boy (David Moreau, 2013). Efira has starred in several feature films such as Victoria (Justine Triet, 2016), with which she received the Magritte Award for Best Actress and was nominated for a César award, the psychological thriller Elle (Paul Verhoeven, 2016), Un amour impossible (Catherine Corsini, 2018), and the comedy Le Grand Bain (Gilles Lellouche, 2018). Efira also stars in Justine Triet's latest film Sibyl (2019), a dramatic comedy about a psychotherapist who rediscovers her passion for writing.
