Stéphanie Argerich is the daughter of Martha Argerich and Stephen Kovacevich. Born in Bern in 1975, she holds Swiss, Argentinian and Belgian citizenship.


Firstly, she studied Russian in Moscow and then Photography at the Parson School of Design in New York. In Paris she made some additional training in video technique and directed her first medium length films.


Bloody Daughter is her first feature length documentary. In 2003 the film was awarded the golden FIPA (International Festival of Audiovisuals Programme) in the category Musique et spectacles, and was screened in the last edition of LEFFEST.


Argerich also produced the movie Miss Rain, which is included on this year’s Discoveries section of the Festival.
