Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival

Conversation: Architecture is a Combat Sport

The architect will come to the festival to present his vision, deeply personal and sometimes controversial, about current architecture, demonstrating the link between cinema and architecture and the role they must play in society. The conversation will be followed by King Vidor’s masterpiece, The Fountainhead (1949), inspired by the life of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. In the film, architecture and its impact on society are debated, as well as the work of architects, the freedom, and the role of creators. Some slides and materials from the architect’s projects will be exhibited during the conversation.

Saturday, November 19th, at 6:30 p.m., at the Cinema Medeia Nimas.
