Piazzolla, los años del tiburón: premiers in Portugal at the LEFFEST'18

Back
Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992) was an Argentine tango composer and bandoneon player, considered one of the most important musicians of the second half of the twentieth century. The influence of jazz on his songs established a new language of sound, something that is followed by musicians to this day. His compositions, such as the most famous Libertango and Adiós Nonino, are played by orchestras from all around the world.

Piazzolla, los años del tiburón is, thus, a cinematographic portrait of this legendary composer, with archive images so far unrevealed, that allows the viewer to get to know this genius.

The film will be presented by its director, Daniel Rosenfeld, whose previous film work was screened in Lisbon in the retrospective LEFFEST organized in 2016.
