From a young age, Alexandra Fonseca showed a great interest in cinema and, particularly, in the apparatus of the screening room. In 2019, she graduated in Communication Sciences at NOVA FCSH, where she was also part of the founding team behind the CINENOVA film festival. As she was nearing the end of her degree, she did an internship at the Department of Print Traffic of IndieLisboa. Later on, she also worked on the cataloguing of ANIM – National Archive of Moving Images' video collection. Since then she has worked with the communication and programming teams of Medeia Filmes and LEFFEST – Lisbon & Sintra Film Festival. Currently, she is Head of Distribution at Leopardo Filmes.
